There are two methods to connect copper pipes together. The first is to solder or perspiration the pipes together. The second is using compression fittings. Soldered fittings are not as costly than the compression, but require a bit more work to create a leak-free joint.
One would think that 1/2″ aluminum tube are the same, no matter what, but the sad reality is that 1/2″ rigid aluminum pipe has a distinct outer diameter ( OD), then 1/2″ flexible copper pipe.
If may also buy Stainless Steel Pipes‘ (which is also known as ‘ท่อสแตนเลส‘) through online websites at reliable prices.
Fittings for one won’t work on the other. If you would like to use both you may need to buy an adapter. Something similar can be said for plastic pipe, a piece of 1″ black ABS pipe isn’t the exact same size as 1″ white PVC plastic pipe. Again to use the two, a house owner would require a purchase an adapter.
Rigid Copper Pipe:
Used mostly for cold and hot water lines within the home. The ideal tool to cut rigid aluminum tubing is a pipe cutter. The pipe is placed in the cutter, along with the knob is turned down, which brings the pipe to contact with the cutter wheel. Since the cutter is rotated around the pipe, you continue to tighten the wheel, till you’ve cut through the whole pipe.
